An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 41") (Learn More) The Cat's Paw (The Cat's-Paw), the 1934 Sam Taylor political crime comedy ("From the Saturday Evening Post story by Clarence Budington Kelland"; "Everything new but these [glasses]"; Lloyd is a missionary's son who returns from many years in China to his home town in California, and local crooked politicians set him up as an "in name only" Mayor, but he takes the job seriously and tries to reform the town; when they frame him with fake evidence of wrongdoings, he uses an ancient Chinese method, and puts all the crooks in a cellar, and tells them he will execute them all if they don't confess, and then he uses a Chinese illusion to "behead" two of them, whereupon they all confess; certainly, a very unusual comedy!) starring Harold Lloyd, Una Merkel, George Barbier, Nat Pendleton, Grace Bradley, Alan Dinehart and Grant Mitchell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Leader Press was a company in Oklahoma City that made its own posters for movies of the 1930s and 1940s, and it sent them to theaters throughout the Midwest! Leader Press posters are original posters that were made when the movies first came out. Also note that this one-sheet measures 27 1/2" x 41". Please do not bid on this poster thinking it is 27" x 41". Also note that there is much separation in the top half of the vertical foldline, but that otherwise the poster is in pretty nice condition.
