An Autographed 4" x 5" Card (Learn More) Constance Dowling was an actress who started in 1944, but had little success in Hollywood, and she went to Italy and made some movies there, and had a stormy affair with Italian writer Cesare Pavese, who committed suicide in 1950 after they broke up. Some of her movies include: Gog, Duello Senza Onore, Blind Spot, Black Angel, and Up in Arms. She passed away in 1969 at the age of 49 from cardiac arrest. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Constance Dowling (there is a pencil notation on the back of the card that says "Got 25 Aug 44 in L.A., Pershing HQ")! The card was purchased in an auction of memorabilia from the Gene Andrewski collection. The card could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display!
