Lepape's work incorporates orientalist motifs with fluid lines, bold coloration, and graphic stylizations that are evocative of the Art Nouveau movement. His body of work spans across media, and he has contributed to the design of book covers, playbills, magazines, advertisements, and textiles. He passed away in 1971 at the age of 83. We don't know if this poster was created before or after the magazine appeared, but it would surely be from the same time period. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
