An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Falcon in San Francisco, the 1945 Joseph H. Lewis California waterfront silk smuggling detective crime mystery thriller ("'Falcon' faces 'Murder King'!"; "Smuggled silk snares 4 to DEATH!"; "Based on the character created by Michael Arlen") starring Tom Conway (in the title role as "The Falcon"), Rita Corday, Sharyn Moffett, Edward Brophy, Robert Armstrong, and Jason Robards Sr. Note that this is one of twelve movies that starred Tom Conway as The Falcon. In the first three movies, George Sanders (who had previously played "The Saint" in a series of movies) played The Falcon, but he apparently tired of the role, and wanted to leave, and instead of ending the series, or having a new actor play the role, he passed it on to Tom Conway in the fourth movie, "The Falcon's Brother" (they played brothers in the movie and in real life they were brothers!) in a clever move, the script had George Sanders' character killed, and his brother, played by Tom Conway, shows up and solves his murder, and becomes the "new" Falcon; and Conway went on to make a total of twelve Falcon movies. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good to fine. There are pinholes in the corners and a couple of extremely tiny tears in the borders. There is a crease in the top left corner. Otherwise, the card is in quite nice condition!
