Dali was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work. His best-known work is likely The Persistence of Memory which was completed in 1931. Dali's expansive artistic repertoire included film, sculpture, and photography, at times in collaboration with a range of artists in a variety of media. He was highly imaginative, and also enjoyed indulging in unusual and grandiose behavior. He passed away in 1989 at the age of 84. His body was exhumed in 2017 to collect DNA for a paternity suit (testing later proved he was not the father), and according to his embalmer, Dali's mustache was still in the '10 past 10' position!
