eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result y110 JACK WARNER candid 8x10 movie still '30s golfing w/Latin pro! Date Sold 11/22/2007Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More) Jack L. Warner was one of the founders of the Warner Bros. studio and who also produced several movies which include: My Fair Lady, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Dark Passage, and a host of other top Warner Bros movies! He passed away in 1978 at the age of 86. Important Added Info: Note that the still shows a great candid image of Warner Bros. Vice President Jack L. Warner being given golf tips by Eduardo Blasi, the #2 golfer in Argentina, when he made a tour of the United States to discuss creating a Latin-American sports union! Also note that there is a stamp on the back of the still (from the studio that distributed it). Note that a paper snipe was glued to the back of the still, and then folded over to the front. This was done rather than gluing the snipe to the back, so that the snipe could be unfolded and the still could be displayed with the snipe unfolded, which would let moviegoers read the information on the snipe in the lobby (and of course, the snipe would be folded backwards, so it would not show). This was done with many stills of the 1930s, but often, the snipes are either partially or completely lost, because it is easier for them to be torn off. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, THE SNIPE DOES NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE FRONT OF THE STILL! Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
