Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Goat, the 1918 Donald Crisp silent cowboy western comedy starring Fred Stone, Fanny Midgley, Charles McHugh, Rhea Mitchell, and Sylvia Ashton. Note that Rhea Mitchell started in movies in 1909 at the age of 19, and she was a fairly big star through the mid 1910s. But as she got older, her parts started drying up, and she had fewer and fewer roles in the 1920s, and mostly uncredited roles in the 1930s. She managed an apartment building in Los Angeles, and she made her last movie appearance in 1952, and in 1957, at the age of 66, she was strangled by a "disgruntled houseboy". Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. As is typical with older glass slides, this slide has no holder, but has black tape around all the edges of the glass. The slide is in about as good condition as can be expected. See below for a scan of just the slide image and a sep Learn More about condition grades
