He was a man of many talents, including being an excellent impressionist and mimic, and also a talented caricaturist. While he is best remembered for playing Ed Norton the sewer worker on TV's "The Honeymooners", he was already, at that time, a very successful TV actor (and an extremely intelligent man, nothing like the Ed Norton character he played), who, after The Honeymooners, went on to a successful film career. Some of his movies include: Harry & Tonto (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Harry), A Guide For The Married Man, Going in Style, and The Late Show. He passed away in 2003 at the age of 85. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Art Carney! He drew a picture of John Barrymore and titled it "The Great Profile" (apparently, he did this fairly regularly for people who simply asked for an autograph!). Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to surely be authentic.
