Appears in Vintage Hollywood Posters 9 CATALOG SOLD OUT The image at right appears in the auction catalog we published as shown above and was sold long ago and we do NOT have it available for purchase. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Six-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 81" x 81") (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Notorious, the classic 1946 Alfred Hitchcock World War II (WWII) Nazis-in-South-America romantic love triangle crime film noir ("Fateful fascination! Bold intrigue!"; "Notorious woman of affairs... Adventurous man of the world!"; "Unceasing excitement... Relentless suspense!"; "Adventurous Man! Notorious Woman! - the boldest deception two lovers ever dared!"; "Deep their love! Great the risk!"; "Written by Ben Hecht"; one of Hitchcock's absolute best movies; the plot is wildly implausible, but the quality of the acting of the entire cast and the great direction are so good that you don't care!) starring Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman, Claude Rains (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Louis Calhern, Leopoldine Konstantin (billed as "Madame Leopoldine Konstantin", in a wonderful sinister performance as Claude Rains' mother!), E.A. Krumschmidt, Lenore Ulric, and Reinhold Schunzel NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This six-sheet was printed in 4 sections. Condition: fine. The poster was clearly never used, and it was likely only opened a few times in all the years since it was made! Three of the four pieces of the poster are in really excellent condition! Each has some minor separation at crossfolds, and the piece with the top right of the image has a few tiny tears in the foldline in the background to the right of the bottom of the title. The fourth piece (the piece that was on the outside when the poster was completely folded up) is the piece with the top left of the image. There are tiny tears and tiny areas of paper loss in the two foldlines just above the "t" and "r" of "Notorious!" in the title. It is extra lucky that the paper loss is almost entirely in the background area between the bottom of Bergman and the top of the title, with a few tiny tears in the top of the "t" in "Notorious!". Other than the minor defects outlined above, the poster is in really excellent condition! Learn More about condition grades
