Artist: McClelland Barclay Important Added Info: Note that on rare occasions, the major studios would hire the finest "name" book and magazine illustrators to do movie posters on their major releases. In this case, the style B one-sheet for this movie was painted by master illustrator McClelland Barclay, who not only had painted great World War I posters, but also World War II posters. Sadly, he was serving his country in World War II when he was tragically killed in action. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some separation on parts of the foldlines. It had some writing on the back of the center of the poster that slightly bled through to the front in Lake's dress, starting from her knee and running below it. There were some faint stains around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
