An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Annapolis Salute, the 1937 Christy Cabanne Maryland romantic love triangle military U.S. Naval Academy United States Navy melodrama (about best friends who are Naval cadets, and they are both rivals for the hand of the daughter of the commandant of the academy) starring James Ellison, Marsha Hunt, Harry Carey Sr., Van Heflin (in his fourth movie ever!), Arthur Lake, and Ann Hovey. Note that one of the two best friends is played by Van Heflin. Most people do not realize he had significant roles in the 1930s, because they think of him as a 1940s or 1950s actor! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fine. This glass slide is in really excellent condition, and we feel that EVERY collector would be happy to own it. It IS possible it may have a MINOR defect or defects, but nothing at all significant. But we bet many dealers would call items in this grade "mint" or "near mint"! Learn More about condition grades
