An Undated (probably 1960s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Lady Godiva Rides Again, the 1951 (released in the U.S. in 1953) Frank Launder English beauty pageant melodrama (an expose of the beauty pageant business, about a woman who is desperate to become a star and keeps entering pageants hoping to be discovered; but she keeps sinking lower and lower, finally performing nude in a French cabaret, and she is finally rescued by her Australian boyfriend who convinces her to marry him and settle down) starring Dennis Price, John McCallum, Stanley Holloway, Pauline Stroud (billed as "introducing Pauline Stroud"), Eddie Byrne, and a very low-billed Diana Dors, in one of her earlier roles! Note that an enterprising U.S. distributor bought the rights to this movie after Dors achieved fame for her sexy movies, and re-released the movie in the U.S. as "Bikini Baby", with a huge image of Dors and her name above the title, tricking the public into thinking it was a new Diana Dors movie, when she actually only had a minor role and it was not a new movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good to fine. The poster had minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well. Learn More about condition grades
