Zanuck; based on the novel "by Eric Knight"; a wild story of a daughter of an English general who joins the WAAF, which was the English version of the WACs; she meets a soldier on leave, and had a torrid affair with him, but then learns he is a deserter; he tries to make things right and is badly wounded heroically saving a woman and her child, and she meets with him in the hospital while he is at Death's door) starring Tyrone Power Jr., Joan Fontaine, Thomas Mitchell, Nigel Bruce, Gladys Cooper, Philip Merivale, Sara Allgood, Alexander Knox, Henry Stephenson, Jill Esmond, and Arthur Shields NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: A talented restorer gel backed the poster (meaning they backed the poster onto a gel material) and they then performed excellent restoration to the defects described below, and then removed the gel backing, so that the poster still exactly looks and feels like an original poster (and it is!), with no backing at all. The restoration was done really well, and the poster displays really well! Note that the poster is flexible enough that it can be rolled into a 6" tube, but we would much prefer to send it in a flat package (but we will send it in a tube if the new owner insists and accepts responsibility for it). Condition: good to very good. The poster was gel backed (see above). This particular poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfold. It had a partial second vertical fold 1/2" to the left of the regular one. It had some creases and tiny bits of paper loss on the folds, with some pinholes, small tears, and tiny bits of paper loss in the borders. The poster was gel backed by a talented professional and expert restoration was performed to the above defects. The poster displays well, and it still completely looks and feels like an unrestored poster, but you can see slight signs of the restoration. Learn More about condition grades
