Note that this poster features wonderful Glenn Grohe artwork of a menacing Nazi German soldier Artist: Glenn Grohe Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this wonderful war poster with an incredibly striking image, and it sold for $1,100! Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a heavy paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had faint tiny brown stains in the top edge of the top blank border and in the top of the left blank border. It had tiny surface paper loss in the middle of the far left yellow background area. It had two tiny scuffs within the image. Someone had the poster paperbacked for conservation purposes, because they did no restoration to the above minor defects, and it displays well in spite of those minor defects.
