Sweet Adeline, the 1934 Mervyn LeRoy New York City Broadway theater stage acting romantic love triangle musical ("Story from the stage success by Jerome Kern & Oscar Hammerstein II"; a very convoluted story of a female singer and a young composer, and they end up both working on the same show, but she has another suitor who is a Spanish-American War hero, and there is a Spanish singer who is going to star in the show, but the war hero offers the female singer that he will back the show and make her the star instead, but only if she will sleep with him, after which she leaves the show, but the composer talks her into returning!) starring Irene Dunne (in the tile role as Adeline), Donald Woods, Hugh Herbert, Ned Sparks, Joseph Cawthorn, Wini Shaw, Louis Calhern, and Nydia Westman

Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" [19 x 24 cm], and the photographer, Bert Longworth, mounted it to a heavy board that measures 9" x 15", and he then personally autographed (signed) below the picture (this was often done by "name" photographers of this time)!
