Date Sold 6/11/2020Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 5 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Ridin' the Wind, the 1925 Del Andrews & Alfred L. Werker silent romantic equine cowboy western melodrama (written by Frances Marion, who was Thomson's wife!) starring Fred Thomson, Silver King the Horse (billed as "His famous horse Silver King"; "And his remarkable horse Silver King"), Jacqueline Gadsdon, Lewis Sargent, and David Dunbar. Note that star Fred Thomson was a major silent cowboy star (along with Tom Mix), but he is forgotten today, because he tragically died of tetanus just when sound movies started. Surely there should be a film biography of his life (perhaps Johnny Depp could play the lead role!). Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. One has writing along the lower edge and it has been folded back at one time diagonally at one time. One has creases and tears of varying lengths (generally 1/2" or less but some are larger) around the edges.. A few of the tears or other defects as described above are repaired with tape from the back. Learn More about condition grades
