Also note that French posters from the first few years after World War II are among the most rare posters there are! Apparently, there were still major paper shortages in France, and few posters were printed, and most were recycled. This is an extremely rare French poster from 1946. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The entire poster had darkened. It had creases, tears, and small paper loss on parts of many folds, with some smudges and scuffs scattered throughout. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking.
