eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 2d440 WORLD OF STAR WARS magazine 1980s compendium of fact & fantasy from Star Wars & Empire! Date Sold 12/15/2019Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Magazine (measures 8" x 10 3/4" [20 x 27 cm]) (Learn More) The World of Star Wars, the magazine ("A compendium of fact and fantasy from Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back") featuring articles and information about various aspects of the movie including special effects scenes and George Lucas' vision for the movies! Note that the magazine seems to measure 8 1/4" x 11", but that was solely so it could be displayed on newsstands. It actually measures 11" x 16 1/2", and has 28 pages, and it was designed to be folded in half for newsstands. All of the pages are on a quality paper stock and are filled with great full-color images from the movie. The only examples of this magazine we have seen have "First published 1981 Printed in U.S.A." at the bottom of the cover, so we imagine this is a later reprint of this magazine, but we have never seen the "original" from 1981. Also, this magazine has "Issue 2" in the top right corner, but we have no idea what issue 1 was! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: Note that we have provided a picture of the front cover of the magazine, and pictures of interior two-page spreads (including the table of contents page if there is one; but we didn't make much effort to find the best ones!). These images should greatly help you judge the overall condition of the magazine, and the contents page lets you know exactly what articles and stories are contained in this particular issue. Please know that these magazines are sealed in bags and are ready for shipping, and we cannot answer any questions about them or look through them for you, so please bid (or do not bid) based on the images we have provided. This auction is one of 520 auctions in eMoviePoster.com's special "all-Star Wars" auction! Where did this remarkable selection come from? It all started when we were contacted by a VERY long time collector of Star Wars posters, who told us he wanted to sell his entire collector, and we started with his 296 (which included many of the most rare and desirable ones) and we then asked our other 2,500+ consignors if they had any other Star Wars posters (or related items) that we did not already have, and the result is this amazing collection of 520 auctions, and every item will have a new owner once the auctions end, because all truly have no reserve. If one tried to duplicate this collection, it would surely take MANY years to do so! Condition: very good. Note that we have attempted to check to see if the magazine is complete and uncut, and we believe that it is. However, there is a slight possibility that we might have missed a small cut or a page that was neatly removed, and if that happens, you can return the magazine. We have solely provided an overall description of the condition of the magazine, but you can also refer to our super-sized images. Please bid (or not bid) based on that overall grade and by viewing the super-sized images. Learn More about condition grades
