An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Twenty-Four-Sheet Movie Poster (24sh; measures approximately 9' x 20') (Learn More) By the Light of the Silvery Moon, the 1953 David Butler musical ("They're Wooin' and Doin' The Things Boys and Girls Like To Do..."; "Warner Bros.' wonderfully warm-hearted croonin' and spoonin' musical delight!"; "Written by Robert O'Brien and Irving Elinson"; "Those grand days! Those grand ways! They're singin', dancin', wooin' and doin' all the things boys and girls love to do!"; "How they croon... How they spoon...") starring Doris Day, Gordon MacRae, Billy Gray, Leon Ames, and Rosemary DeCamp. Note that at this time Warner Brothers was looking for movies to make with Doris Day and so they chose to re-make one of their successful "Penrod" movies of the 1930s, but they switched the emphasis from the Penrod character to his tomboy older sister (played by Day)! Important Added Info: This 24-sheet poster was folded in a way that makes it resemble a folded six-sheet (only much larger, of course, as there are many more sections). But while the length and width of the folded 24-sheet is similar to that of a folded six-sheet or three-sheet, it is somewhat larger and also has greater depth. This means that this 24-sheet needs to be sent in an oversized flat package, which will measure roughly 15" x 20" x 4", and it will cost more to send than a regular sized package. Note also that this twenty-four sheet was printed in 13 sections designed to overlap. Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. Most of these items absolutely can only be sent in flat packages, and could not possibly be rolled into a tube. Some of them might SEEM like they could be rolled in a tube, like a half-sheet, but they can't. The reason these items are in this auction is specifically because they CAN'T be rolled (because rolling any of them would damage them, even if they somehow can be rolled). So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item when ready for shipping), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. Condition: good. Some portions of the folds have been exposed to moisture and have slight discoloration scattered in some areas from exposure to moisture and some paper loss (more so at upper left).
