An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Chapter #4 (The Silent Doom) One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Fighting with Kit Carson, the 1933 Colbert Clark & Armand Schaefer cowboy western serial ("An Epic Serial of the Pioneer West in 12 Chapters") starring Johnny Mack Brown (in the title role as Kit Carson), Betsy King Ross, Noah Beery Sr., Noah Beery Jr., Tully Marshall, and Lane Chandler. Note that Noah Beery Jr. was 20 years old when this movie was released, and in it, he played a Native American Indian, and one of the one-sheets shows him shaking hands with his famous father, and they received equal third and fourth billing! Note that this was one of the five movies where father and son Noah Beery Sr. and Jr. appeared together between 1930 and 1942! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had small tears and tiny paper loss along most of the folds. It had many creases, tears, and some stains around the edges, and some scattered throughout the image. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. Given the poster's many defects, the restorer did a pretty good job, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and the restorer painted over all of the solid white background, plus portions of other solid colored areas, to "even them out".
