An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Dinner at the Ritz, the 1937 Harold D. Schuster English romantic murder mystery crime thriller (about the daughter of a rich Frenchman who supposedly committed suicide, but she believes he was murdered, and she meets up with an English intelligence agent who feels the same way, and they travel through Paris, the French Riviera, and Monte Carlo, trying to solve the murder, and falling in love along the way) starring Annabella, Paul Lukas, David Niven, Romney Brent, Francis L. Sullivan, Stewart Rome, Norah Swinburne, and Tyrell Davis. Note that this was an English production, but several of the actors would soon move to Hollywood. It was David Niven's first starring role, but he was third billed, because he was not well known at the time. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds. It had an extra horizontal fold just above the regular middle one, with some separation, tiny tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of the folds. It had pinholes and some paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
