Note that Yasujiro Ozu was a legendary Japanese writer and director from 1920s to the 1960s. He is likely the second best regarded Japanese director after Akira Kurosawa, and many of his films are considered classics, and his masterpiece is "Tokyo Story" from 1953, although he made movies from 1927 to 1962. First release Japanese posters of any kind from any of his movies are beyond rare! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Japanese movie! Condition: very good. The poster was tri-folded and has some creases along those areas. It has darkening on the back of the upper half of the right border, with creases in that area, but the darkening does not show through to the front. There are some other creases scattered throughout, and a pinhole in each corner. This great poster can absolutely be displayed and enjoyed as it is, or certainly, any talented restorer could perform restoration to it, with or without backing the poster.
