Date Sold 4/20/2014 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 23 Original Vintage Theatrical Dutch 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) Andy Warhol's L'Amour, the 1973 Paul Morrissey & Andy Warhol Paris France romantic sexploitation melodrama ("A new film by Andy Warhol & Paul Morrissey"; about two American hippie females in Paris, looking to have sexual adventures and land rich husbands) starring Michael Sklar, Donna Jordan, Jane Forth, Max Delys, Patti D'Arbanville, and Karl Lagerfeld. Note that virtually all of the other Andy Warhol movies of the 1960s and 1970s have numerous posters available on them, but for some reason, this one apparently received an incredibly tiny U.S. release! We have previously auctioned the French one-panel and Dutch stills, and we have auctioned a single U.S. poster (with ratings, so it is not "international"), so obviously this movie DID receive a U.S. release, but it was apparently a very limited one! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars. SUPER IMPORTANT! THOUGH ONLY EIGHT OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED, THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 23 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE (but realize that on some of these lots with 9 or more stills there may be a few duplicates, mostly on post-1960 lots)! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing eight of the stills. Note that three of these stills measure 7 1/2" x 9" and has been trimmed (see below). Condition: good. Each still has a faint embossed foreign stamp in one corner and several pinholes in each corner that have mostly been repaired with tape from the back but are otherwise in pretty nice condition.
