He was originally part of a stand-up comedy act with Peter Cook, and they were a forerunner of Monty Python. He was in three extremely successful comedies, each in a different decade: Arthur (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role), Bedazzled, and '10'. He passed away in 2002 at the age of 66. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Dudley Moore! This still measures 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] and was for the video release of this movie, not the theatrical release. The consignor of this autographed item (and a large number of other signed items in this auction) is a longtime autograph collector who does not have a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) for this item, but he feels certain it is genuine. Many of the items he has consigned were purchased from an autograph store that was going out of business when the owner retired, and many of the items he has consigned to this set of auctions come from this purchase.
