The founding members were Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner. With five number-one singles, six number-one albums, six Grammy Awards, and five American Music Awards, the Eagles were one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s. The Eagles are one of the world's best-selling bands, having sold more than 100 million albums. The Eagles broke up in July 1980 but reunited in 1994 for the album Hell Freezes Over. They toured consistently and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. He became friendly with many of the stars who appeared at his shows and most of the items from him in this auction are ones where he obtained the autograph in person.
