An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

The Bargain of the Century, the 1933 Charley Chase (primarily remembered as a great silent comedian who appeared in 276 movies, most of them comedy shorts, Chase also directed 140 comedy shorts) comedy short starring Zasu Pitts, Thelma Todd, Billy Gilbert, James P. Burtis, and Frank Alexander. Note that this is one of 17 sexy comedies that Thelma Todd and Zasu Pitts made together between 1931 and 1933. They weren't great movies, but they were really popular at the box office! In 1933, Zasu Pitts was replaced by Patsy Kelly, and Todd and Kelly made an additional 22 similar sexy comedies! Thelma Todd's unfortunate "suicide" (perhaps a mob hit) in 1935 ended this popular series of shorts.

Important Added Info: Note that the movie is called "Island of Lost Heels" on the back of this still, which was the working title for this movie!

Condition: good to very good. There is some extremely faint staining in the background between the two stars, but it is not very distracting, and the still is otherwise in nice condition!
