Note that this is the movie that features the classic song "New York, New York"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This Danish poster measures 24 1/4" x 33 1/4" and is linenbacked. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had some creases and a few tiny tears in the vertical foldline and some minor wear on the other foldlines. There were pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but the restorer did not paint over a censor stamp in the top left corner in the image background (which is not distracting, and shows the poster is surely original).
