An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Duck Soup, the classic 1933 Leo McCarey musical political satire screwball comedy (Groucho is named the new ruler of a bankrupt country, Freedonia, and he declares war on a neighboring country, and his brothers Chico and Harpo are incredibly inept spies!) starring the Four Marx Brothers: Groucho Marx (as Rufus T. Firefly), Harpo Marx (as Pinky), Chico Marx (as Chicolini), and Zeppo Marx (as Lt. Bob Roland), and also starring Margaret Dumont, Raquel Torres, and Louis Calhern NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still has a stamp on the back that reads "JAMES CARD COLLECTION". James Card was a film preservationist who, starting in 1948, worked at the newly created George Eastman House in Rochester, New York, and he helped build their massive motion picture collection, preserving movies that had been forgotten at that time. In 1955, he discovered that Louise Brooks was living as a recluse in New York City, and he persuaded her to move to Rochester, where she wrote many letters and some books about her legendary career! Condition: good to very good. There are two small areas of slight discoloration in the background to the left of Zeppo, but it is not very noticeable or distracting.
