An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man, the 1943 Roy William Neill Universal monster horror thriller (the fifth Universal Frankenstein movie) starring Ilona Massey (as Baroness Elsa Frankenstein), Patric Knowles, Bela Lugosi (in the title role as the Frankenstein Monster), Lionel Atwill, Maria Ouspenskaya, Rex Evans, Dwight Frye, Lon Chaney Jr. (in the title role as the Wolf Man; "Lon Chaney in his most terrifying role"; "Lon Chaney as The Wolfman"), Dennis Hoey, Jeff Corey, Doris Lloyd, Adia Kuznetzoff, Martha Vickers (billed as "Martha MacVicar" in her first movie), Gil Perkins (who doubled for Bela Lugosi in some action scenes), and Eddie Parker (who doubled for Lon Chaney Jr. in some action scenes). Note that in this movie, Bela Lugosi took over the role of the Frankenstein monster which had been played by Lon Chaney Jr. in the previous movie, because Lon Chaney Jr. reprised his role of the Wolf Man, which he had created in the 1941 Universal classic! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: NOTE: In this case, the #4 in the title of the sale is not the number of the lobby card. Because we are selling more than one lobby card from this movie this week as separate eBay sales, we needed to differentiate the different sales, and we did so by marking them "#1, #2, #3, etc..". Condition: very good to fine. minor smudges around the edges of the card; a 2" diagonal crease in the upper left right border starting 3" from the top right corner and extending into the image background; a 1/4" tear in the middle of the left blank border (repaired with tape from the back); tiny surface paper loss in the middle of the bottom blank border. This card has an oddity. Someone used the back of the card as a "time sheet" for their employees, listing their hours for the entire month! It was done entirely in pencil in a grid, but it has no effect at all on the front of the card. I would think most collectors would be quite happy to own this great card, given that its defects are basically minor and that it is completely unrestored! Learn More about condition grades
