Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Swedish Movie Poster (measures 27" x 39 1/4") (Learn More) I Skrattets Tecken (literally translates to "In the Sign of Laughter"), the 1930s Swedish comedy short poster promoting a film (or compilation of films) starring Charlie Chaplin. Important Added Info: This poster has been professionally linenbacked. It now looks great, and most dealers would describe it as "fine (or mint) on linen". We have noted the defects that were restored below (and feel everyone should always do this!). Many collectors would not be aware of the restoration this poster has had unless it was specifically shown to them! Condition: very good. The poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. There were extra creases above the top foldline. The poster was backed on very thin linen and the top and bottom blank borders have the linen folded over and glued onto them.. Most of the linenbacked posters we sell were restored by the finest professionals. An expertly linenbacked poster will often appear "mint", as its defects have been made to "vanish". We are the only seller we are aware of who always tries to describe the condition of the poster prior to being linenbacked, so you are fully aware of what restoration was performed.
