Vignola silent London England romantic marriage comedy ("Girls! Have you ever been engaged? See this picture and learn all about it."; "Scenario by Edith Kennedy"; from the novel by Berta Buck; about an English businessman who asks his secretary to become his fiancee in return for 500 pounds; she agrees, but soon resents the deal, but when she learns that he only did it because a client was pressuring him to marry the client's daughter, she forgives him and they become engaged for real) starring Vivian Martin, Forrest Stanley, Vera Sisson, Hugh Huntley, and Mollie McConnell. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good.
