Thrills ...to make you gasp!"; released just months after the classic "When Worlds Collide", it "borrows" virtually the entire plot of that movie, except, instead of going to outer space, the people who hope to survive the Earth's destruction, plan on drilling deep into the Earth to live miles under the surface) starring Victor Kilian, Bruce Kellogg, Otto Waldis, Jim Bannon, Marilyn Nash, and Dick Coogan. Note that Victor Kilian was not credited despite being the star of the film. He was blacklisted shortly after completing the movie during the Communist hysteria of the time. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that when studios would prepare pressbooks they would often include a sample of the herald. Most often, the herald is no longer still with the pressbook. Sometimes, the herald by itself will sell for almost as much as the rest of the entire pressbook! This pressbook contains the original herald which is pictured next to the pressbook below. In the case of this pressbook, the herald is a really cool full-color comic strip herald, which was bound into the pressbook (the pressbook is rarely found with the herald, which is extremely rare)! Note that this pressbook is part of an amazing collection of 456 different horror/sci-fi pressbooks (our items #5387 through #5842)! The collector who assembled this collection did so over a span of several decades, and to duplicate it would surely take at least that long, if one started today. But on October 30th, every one of these pressbooks will go to a new owner, as all are being sold with NO reserve. Note that this collection spans the years from 1950 to 1972, and just about every single 1950s and 1960s horror/sci-fi movie is represented here. Also note that we have listed them in DATE order (first by year, and then alphabetically within years). This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire rare pressbooks that almost never are offered for sale! Condition: good. two of the interior pages have multiple cuts and each of the pages has separated from the spine folded in half at one time; area of surface paper loss in the upper right of the front cover of the pressbook; minor creases, smudges, and scuffs throughout the pressbook (more so along the foldline and spine); tattering along the bottom "tab" as well as some areas of paper loss around the edges of the pressbook Learn More about condition grades
