Kenton Universal monster horror thriller sequel ("New Thrills as the monster stalks again!"; "Original Story, Eric Taylor"; the fourth Universal Frankenstein movie after the three 1930s classics; in this entry, Bela Lugosi as Ygor resurrects the Frankenstein monster and takes him to the doctor's son and they must find a new brain!) starring Cedric Hardwicke (billed as "Sir Cedric Hardwicke"; as Dr. Ludwig Frankenstein), Ralph Bellamy, Lionel Atwill (as Doctor Bohmer), Bela Lugosi (as Ygor), Evelyn Ankers (as Elsa Frankenstein), Lon Chaney Jr. (as the Frankenstein monster), Holmes Herbert, and Janet Ann Gallow NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a military one-sheet. Military one-sheets were printed at the same time as the regular U.S. one-sheets when the movie was first released. They were made to be used on U.S. military installations. Sometimes the poster has small writing at the bottom that says "For Distribution and Use at U.S. Military Establishments Only", and sometimes they just have "Litho in U.S.A." in small letters in the lower right. This is one of the poster that says ""Litho U.S.A."". Condition: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some minor fold wear. There were a few tiny dot water stains in the center of the top blank border and tiny paper loss in the center of the left blank border. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did little restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
