An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) You're in the Army Now, the 1941 Lewis Seiler musical military comedy ("A new team! You'll scream!") starring Jimmy Durante, Phil Silvers, Jane Wyman, Regis Toomey, the "Navy Blues Sextette", and Matty Malneck & His Orchestra. Note that the plot of this movie was very similar to Abbott & Costello's Buck Privates, which was released at the beginning of 1941. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. This poster was linenbacked, and it had fairly significant defects which were somewhat repaired during the linenbacking process (we describe both the defects as well as the quality of the restoration below). You should also look at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). the poster had creases, smudges, and some tears along the foldlines, and also in the blank borders. The person who restored the poster used a fair amount of paint in the blank white and yellow areas (but did very little restoration in the image areas). The poster has a fair amount of restoration, but primarily in the background and borders, and it really looks quite nice! Learn More about condition grades
