Note that this film was intended to be a direct sequel to Werner Herzog's 1979 film Nosferatu the Vampyre, but Kinski refused to shave his head and go through the make-up process again. The film went through 3 directors (partially because of Kinski's behavior) before the producer decided to direct the film himself. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
