A Linenbacked French Advertising Poster (measures 44 3/4" x 61 1/2" [114 x 156 cm]) (Learn More) Prunelle du Velay, the circa 1940s French advertising poster promoting the liquor and featuring art of a young woman in a yellow hat holding a platter with a bottle of Prunelle du Velay on it by Paul Igerz. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Paul Igerz Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had many creases and scuffs scattered throughout, with some tears in the center of the bottom border. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that at some point after it was backed, it was roughly handled, and there are now some added creases in the poster that are also in the linen itself. Learn More about condition grades
