A Scandal in Paris, the 1946 Douglas Sirk Napoleonic era France biographical romantic crime adventure melodrama ("The Story of Vidocq"; "tsk...tsk...the way George Sanders carries off Signe Hasso and carries on with Carole Landis it's no wonder there's 'A Scandal in Paris'"; produced by Arnold Pressburger; about a thief and con man who manages to become the Chief of Police in Paris, and his goal is not to reform, but to rob the largest bank in Paris, which is considered impregnable) starring George Sanders (as Eugene Francois Vidocq), Signe Hasso, Carole Landis, Akim Tamiroff, Gene Lockhart, Alma Kruger, Alan Napier, Jo Ann Marlowe, and Vladimir Sokoloff. Note that a publicity still we sold describes Landis wearing a "famed zipper costume" in this movie, and we imagine there is more to that story!
