An Unfolded French Travel Poster (measures 23 3/4" x 39 1/4" [60 x 100 cm]) (Learn More)

Air France: Germany, the 1968 French airplane airline aviation travel poster encouraging travelers to use Air France when visiting Germany. Note that this poster features cool artwork by Georges Mathieu. It is printed with a gold background and it was intentionally printed with what looks like scuffing scattered throughout the gold areas, to give it an "aged" look.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster is part of an advertising campaign commissioned by Pierre Sautet, Deputy Commercial Director of Air France in 1966. All of the posters were created by Georges Mathieu in "the style of lyrical abstraction". The campaign was such a success that it was first presented in 1967 at the Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (Paris Museum of Modern Art), followed by numerous exhibitions worldwide.

Condition: very good. The poster has never been folded and it is in pretty nice condition!
