An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Wake Up and Live, the 1937 Sidney Lanfield musical vaudeville radio romantic comedy ("Based on Dorothea Brande's book"; about a vaudeville singer who wants to get a job on the radio, but he has "mike-fright", and can't perform, but his girlfriend gets him an audition with Walter Winchell, and he becomes a big star!) starring Walter Winchell (as himself!), Ben Bernie, Alice Faye, Patsy Kelly, Ned Sparks, Jack Haley, Grace Bradley, Walter Catlett, Leah Ray, Joan Davis, Douglas Fowley, Miles Mander, George Givot, Etienne Girardot, and Warren Hymer NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor wear on the folds. It had pinholes around the edges and one in the center of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that after the poster was linenbacked, it was roughly handled, which resulted in four light horizontal creases throughout the entire poster and the linen backing. However, it has been placed under weight for some time, so those light creases are not all that distracting, but they are slightly noticeable, so bear this odd defect in mind before placing a bid on this poster.
