An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Death Rides the Plains, the 1943 Sam Newfield cowboy western starring Robert Livingston (billed as "Bob Livingston", as The Lone Rider), Al 'Fuzzy' St. John, Patti McCarthy, Ray Bennett, I. Stanford Jolley, and Kermit Maynard. Note that this was one of a popular series of movies all starring this character. They began in 1941, and the character has tremendous similarities to The Lone Ranger (including a mask, white hat, and white horse!), but in this, he starts out by chasing the outlaws who killed his parents, not his comrades. This had been a plot used in westerns since the silent days, which is likely why The Lone Ranger people could not sue PRC for making this series! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. There are several pin holes and some smaller tears and areas of tattering, creasing, and smudging throughout the poster. There is writing on the front of the poster across the top.
