The poster was "starch backed", which means that it was moistened with a special starch solution, attached to a backing, allowed to dry, and then the poster had touch up while it was backed, and afterward, the backing was removed. This particular poster had been folded once in each direction and had tiny paper loss at the crossfold, and creases, scuffs, and tiny bits of fine surface paper loss on both foldlines. It had pinholes in the corners and a few scuffs scattered in the image. The poster looks fantastic, and it has had truly minor touch up, and best of all, it still completely looks and feels like an unrestored poster! Learn More about condition grades
