Date Sold 6/11/2020 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 6 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) Body and Soul, the 1927 Reginald Barker silent Switzerland romantic love triangle melodrama ("From the story by Katherine Newlin Burt"; about a doctor who becomes an alcoholic, which forces him to retire in disgrace, and he moves to the Swiss Alps, where he meets a pretty maid, and he falls for her, and he tells her that her boyfriend has run off, and she marries the doctor, but then the boyfriend returns, and he tells the doctor that he doesn't have a "brand" on his wife, and the doctor, who has gone insane, literally brands his wife to keep her, but she runs off with her boyfriend anyway, and at the film's climax, the doctor realizes he doesn't deserve his wife, and he gives his life to save the boyfriend's!) starring Aileen Pringle, Norman Kerry, Lionel Barrymore (as the insane doctor!), and T. Roy Barnes. Note that we do not know much about this movie, but the border art of the lobby card shows Aileen Pringle tied to a post, and being branded on her shoulder!
