Artist: Del Nichols Important Added Info: Note that in 1977, George Lucas recognized the value of merchandising his new movie, and he approached many companies about doing special advertising tie-in posters. He made four deals for the exact same posters with Coca-Cola! There was a set of 4 posters and one of the four deals was distributed through Burger Kings, and at the bottom of each, it said "A poster series from The Coca-Cola Company and Burger King", and each had "Number One of Four", etc. The second deal was through another burger chain, now defunct, Burger Chef, and at the bottom of each, it said "A poster series from The Coca-Cola Company and Burger Chef Systems Inc." The third set was distributed in Japan only, and at the bottom of each of those, it said "A poster series from The Coca-Cola Company (Japan)". The fourth set was distributed in the U.S. by Coca-Cola, it said "An original poster series from The Coca-Cola Company". The collector who assembled this set merely wanted one of each kind, and it contains #1 from the "Burger Chef" set, and numbers 2, 3, and 4 from the Coca-Cola set (but as noted above, the posters are the same except for the company information at the bottom; see our images). This item was consigned to us from the collection of southern California based Kevin LaNeave, a long-time 30 year+ Star Wars memorabilia collector with an emphasis on original theatrical movie posters as well as other marketing, promotional, and commercial posters from a galaxy far, far away. Click HERE for more about Kevin's collection. Condition: very good. The posters were never folded. The Han Solo one has a faint partial vertical crease down the left and right center, but they are not full creases at all. Each of the four posters have some small creases scattered throughout.
