Yurei Yashiki no Kyofu: Chi Wo Su Ningyo (released in the U.S. in 1971 as "Fear of the Ghost House: Bloodsucking Doll" and as "Vampire Doll"), the 1970 Michio Yamamoto Japanese horror thriller starring Kayo Matsuo, Akira Nakao, Atsuo Nakamura, Yukiko Kobayashi, and Yoko Minakaze. Note that this was the first film of a Japanese vampire trilogy (very loosely based on the Bram Stoker novel). The two sequels that followed it were "Lake of Dracula" in 1971 and "Evil of Dracula" in 1974.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a 48x71 Japanese poster from this movie until we received this poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this Japanese movie!

UPDATED 04/09/2020: Note that we have updated the Condition Description.

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had some small tears and tiny bits of paper loss in the left half of the horizontal fold and in the top 8" of the vertical fold, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds and in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. The poster is slightly "lifting" from the linen in the left of the bottom border (any restorer or talented amateur could easily re-glue this area without re-backing the poster, or it could be left as is).
