The most magnificent picture ever!"; "David O. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this souvenir program book, which is from the Junior League World Premiere Ball, which was held one day before the first premiere of this classic movie! This is an amazing book, filled with information and images we have never seen anywhere else. There is a full-page image of David O. Selznick with a biography facing the title page, which mentions that this world premiere ball is "distinguished by the presence of Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Ann Rutherford, Evelyn Keyes, Alicia Rhett, Laura Hope Crews, and Ona Munson" (apparently they couldn't get Leslie Howard to "fly over"!). There is a full-page image of Margaret Mitchell and lots of heavily illustrated articles. But the coolest aspect is that it is also filled with ads from local stores, and a high percentage of them created ads specifically for this program referencing the movie (for example, the ad for a gift center had the heading "I Bet Scarlett O'Hara's Frocks Were Cut With Wiss Scissors") and the ad for J.P. Allen & Co. said "If Scarlett had lived Today.... her deep desire for the finest, most elegant fashions could have been satisfied right here in Atlanta", and many, many more similar ads. We have never auctioned this wonderful program book before, and it is surely incredibly rare!

Note: We have 11 images of this souvenir program book, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 11 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 1.

Condition: very good. There is some scuffing in the bottom of the cover and a crease in the top right corner. Otherwise, the entire program book is in really excellent condition (see our many images)!
