Date Sold 10/26/2021 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 7 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) To Have and To Hold, the 1922 George Fitzmaurice silent pre-Revolutionary War America/England romantic love triangle adventure melodrama ("'She's mine and I'll fight for her', the Virginian cried."; "From the novel by Mary Johnston"; about an English girl who escapes marriage to an English Lord by going on a "bride ship" to the American colonies, where she marries a local man, but the English Lord follows them and has her husband imprisoned) starring Betty Compson, Bert Lytell, Theodore Kosloff, William J. Ferguson, Raymond Hatton, and Walter Long. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: This group of silent lobby cards is one of many that were consigned to us by a very long time collector. Almost all of the groups were in surprisingly nice condition, but not surprisingly, many of them had smudges or stains in the blank borders, with a few pinholes or small tears. The collector approached a restorer, and asked that all the cards have touch up performed on the fronts of the cards in the borders (as needed), but that none of them be backed in any way. You can tell that the cards have had some border restoration (some of it is more "felt" than seen), but they will display really well on the new owner's walls (or in albums). And many of these cards are from EXTREMELY rare titles! Condition: very good.
