Artist: Tom Jung Important Added Info: Note that we had heard from collectors that Star Wars three-sheets came in two sizes, the standard three-sheet size of 41" x 81" and a slightly smaller size of 41" x 77". However, after further research, it's likely that all Star Wars three sheets are 41" x 77" and posters listed as 41" x 81" are because sellers (including us) assumed it was the standard three-sheet size. Note that while this poster lacks a rating, there isn't a version with a rating so we don't bother to call it "international". From the 1920s to the 1960s, U.S. theaters would commonly display three-sheets and six-sheets on their walls. Starting in the late 1960s, the studios started making a second version for non-U.S. theaters (those posters lacked our ratings and would sometimes have different images). Because of this, the posters would be stamped "Domestic" or "Foreign". But starting in the mid to late 1970s, hardly any U.S. theaters displayed three-sheets or six-sheets anymore, and most of the posters where used in other countries. After 1976, all three-sheets or six-sheets are stamped "Foreign" and/or lack a U.S. rating. This three-sheet was printed in 1 section. Finally, note that this poster was folded in an unusual way and it will need to be sent in a large flat package that measures approximately 14" x 18", so bear that in mind before bidding. Condition: fair to good. There are a number of small brown stains scattered in parts of the back of the poster, and several of them show through to the front. They are most noticeable in the fold below the title horizontally and vertically, and there is small paper loss at the crossfold below the title. There is also tiny paper loss at a few other crossfolds. There are some creases along parts of the folds. After linenbacking by a talented professional, the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's defects and the cost of restoration before placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
