An Original 1952 Vintage Theatrical Folded Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More)

Charles Starrett, the 1945 Columbia stock poster that Columbia printed for theaters to use when they showed a Charles Starrett western. The theater owners would either hand-write the titles of the specific movie they were showing, or the movie information for a specific movie would be overprinted in the blank area. We have only seen this stock poster in the six-sheet size. Note that there was also later 1950s stock posters, but because they are from seven years later, we list them separately.

Artist: Glenn Cravath

Condition: very good. The poster had separation and paper loss on some of the crossfolds (most notably the two crossfolds at the bottom right of the poster) and creases, smudges, and tiny tears on some foldlines. There was a 12" diagonal tear to the left of the bottom of the yellow box, but fortunately it was entirely in the blue background area. There were just a few pinholes, creases, smudges, and small tears around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great!
