We have previously seen individual advertising glass slides for specific businesses, and we always wondered how they were created, because it didn't seem to make sense that businesses would make them themselves (especially small local businesses). But now we know! This company, the Kansas City Slide Mfg. Co. of Kansas City, Missouri made them for local businesses (and maybe other companies did as well). You were sent by the company generic colorful glass slides, along with paper sleeves with instructions on how to create a homemade slide for your business, and I guess the theater would show those together with the generic ones (but that is just a guess). What is offered here is a set of 8 colorful generic slides, and six of the sleeves from the company and likely these were samples, plus there is a small instruction sheet with them, and there is a box with printed instructions on the front and back. Note that the items in this lot are likely from the 1930s, but they could be from the 1920s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them. We have also pictured the original box, one of the sleeves, and instruction sheet that the slides came with. If anyone knows more about any of this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good. Three of the slides have cracking and some has some loss in the tape around the edges (see our images). The box has some wear. Learn More about condition grades Titles included:
