Cline (billed as Eddie Cline) silent juvenile young-boy-runs-away-to-join-the-circus comedy ("Jackie Coogan and a circus all in one wonderful picture"; "Adapted from James Otis' celebrated story 'Toby Tyler Ten Weeks with a Circus'"; "Presented by Sol Lesser") starring Jackie Coogan (as Toby Tyler), Barbara Tennant, Russell Simpson, Claire McDowell, Cesare Gravina (as Luigi, the clown), and Nellie Lane (as the "Fat Woman"). Note that this movie was remade by Walt Disney in 1960 as "Toby Tyler or Ten Weeks with a Circus", starring Kevin Corcoran. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by Jackie Coogan! Also note that this lobby card was trimmed to 10 1/4" x 12" [26 x 30 cm] and then glued to an 11" x 14" backing board. Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper who purchased this item years ago, and it was signed, but he doesn't know how the signature was obtained, and he (and we) believe it is likely that the autograph is authentic. Condition: good. The card was trimmed to 10 1/4" x 12" [26 x 30 cm] and then glued to an 11" x 14" backing board (see our image). It has partially separated from the backing board, and it could be easily completely removed by a talented amateur or a professional (or it could be re-glued, if the new owner desires).
